Packaged Rooftop

A Packaged rooftop Air Conditioning unit is a fully completed, ready to operate ‘Comfort Cooling’ or ‘Heat Pump’ system which is normally located onto the flat roof area of a small office, retail unit or commercial building.

The unit provides temperature controlled ( Hot and Cold ) forced air ventilation via a ductwork system to the office or space below. The ductwork would run down inside vertical risers within the building or along the ceiling void, supplying air via grilles within the ceiling. Temperature controls within the space below will dictate as to whether the unit provides heating or cooling.

This type of system is commonly used to provide a controlled environment within Retail shops in ‘Out of town’ shopping Centres etc, as the A/C units are often located on the flat roof of these centres and are therefore easy to service or maintain without causing disruption to staff or customers within the premises below.

Common Manufacturers include: ‘Carrier’, ‘ Trane’ and ‘Daikin’.

Systems can be selected from approx 15 kw right up to 400 Kw cooling or heating duty.
